I needed to get my roof re-done, which meant removal & reinstall of the existing solar. Throughout the entire process Melissa was fantastic. It was tricky to coordinate with both Current Home and my roofer (and the city for permits). Melissa went above and beyond in her communication and was incredibly nice to work with. She kept me in the loop and understood my situation perfectly. The crew who actually came out and did the remove & reinstall were nice, professional and efficient. I would absolutely work with Current Home again.

Elaine Crawford was my sales rep. She did a fabulous job. She explained everything completely and was very patient about any questions. *** Above and beyond the call of duty helped me fill out the paperwork for the rebate I think she’s the type of person that will always be available to help you She’s very accommodating, and an appointment with her is comfortable, no hard selling.

Current homes has been an excellent company to have working on my solar! They have fantastic customer service, Amiah and Elaina have been fantastic with communication and getting everything dialed in around my work schedule. The process was fairly fast regarding plans, permits, install and city approval as it took approximately 4-6 weeks. I received other quotes from sunrun, etc but their customer service was complete opposite of current homes (sunrun even rudely hung up on the phone with me). Glad I stuck with my choice to proceed with current homes!

We had the pleasure of meeting KD, whom was very professional and helpful throughout the whole process and helped us understand solar more. After installation he was able to come and show us how to use the system. He was always available if we had any follow questions, and we appreciate that.

My experience with Current Home has been exceptional. From the very beginning, the process was easy, efficient, and refreshingly streamlined. After researching different TPOs for over a year, I can honestly say that Current Home proved to be the best option by far. Their professionalism, simplicity, and overall customer experience made this an easy decision, and the positive reviews from other customers only reinforced that I was making the right choice. I would strongly encourage anyone who is even considering a system to at least look into Current Home and see what they have to offer. I have been extremely pleased with my experience, and I would be more than happy to speak with anyone who would like to hear about it directly.

It’s because of Max Lyons I am going with Current Home. He spent hours with me helping me going over everything. I was deciding between Currert Home, Sunrun, Semper Solaris and a local contractor and I ultimately decided to go with them because Max made me feel the most assured that I was in good hands.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Solar Panels Increase Property Taxes in California?

No, they don’t. Many property owners have concerns about whether installing solar panels in California will increase their property taxes. However, the state mandates that when a property owner adds something valuable to the real property, such as a solar energy system, its assessed market value will be included in its base value for the year.

Fortunately, installing residential solar systems in California will not result in a higher tax assessment of the existing real property. As of March 2022, this law is in place through the end of 2024

Does California Buy Back Electricity from Solar Panels?

Yes – California residents can sell excess electricity. However, with the passing of NEM 3.0, this buy back program has changed significantly and has made battery back ups a great option to pair with solar panels.
