Great company-always responds to any questions.I did my research before committing to a company and I have not been disappointed. My 1st electric bill since having solar. $12.55 !!! Thank you Current Home. Update..it's now July and I still haven't had an electric bill since January . WOW ! Update..now July 2024 still so grateful to this company. Still haven't had an electric bill and I noticed a very small issue yesterday - they were here within 12 hrs to address it. Nobody has service like this and every staff member has been exceptional, including Justina who answered swiftly and took care of issue so promptly. Thanks again Current Home. Ps. As of September 2025 still haven't paid a nickel to the electric company. If you haven't switched to solar yet- you're just throwing your $ away

I recently reached out to Current Home for a solar estimate and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. From the start, their team was responsive and professional—quick to answer questions and clearly explain the process. What really stood out was their flexibility: they listened to my needs and adjusted the quote to align with my specific requirements without any hassle. It felt like they genuinely wanted to help me find the best solution, not just make a sale. Highly recommend if you're considering solar!

New to the solar panel business and K.D. Was able to explain to me all about the process and how it works. He was able to provide much information and gave me realistic explanations/ expectations on how the industry of energy is proceeding. I’m confident with the commitment, because it’s not about today’s energy, it’s about the energy of tomorrow. Thank you again KD for all your assistance.

So we used Current Hone for our solar installation and we were in direct communication with them from start to finish. It was Mikayla who walked us through the installation process and any questions we might have had and then Justina on the back end when we were looking for our rebate check. She was both friendly and efficient. Great process from start to finish.

After 8 months of known & unknown issues with trying to get our solar project up & running I was ready to call it quits! Then comes the call from Current Home and specifically Micayla. She communicated with us every step of the way through the following 2 months of navigating the world of solar. Micayla explained next steps in lay terms and was always patient with my frustrations. Micayla, you rock and I thank you for stepping in and saving not only our project but putting my frustrations at ease by clearly explaining the process. Current Home, Micayla is an exemplary employee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Solar Panels Increase Property Taxes in California?

No, they don’t. Many property owners have concerns about whether installing solar panels in California will increase their property taxes. However, the state mandates that when a property owner adds something valuable to the real property, such as a solar energy system, its assessed market value will be included in its base value for the year.

Fortunately, installing residential solar systems in California will not result in a higher tax assessment of the existing real property. As of March 2022, this law is in place through the end of 2024

Does California Buy Back Electricity from Solar Panels?

Yes – California residents can sell excess electricity. However, with the passing of NEM 3.0, this buy back program has changed significantly and has made battery back ups a great option to pair with solar panels.
